everything you could need for taping. They have great small
condensor mics, recorders and accessories.
Oade Brothers is where you will
find high-end recording equipment, from mics to pre-amps. These
guys do custom modifications and their work is brilliant. They
also have a great FAQ about mic types and mic setups.
Tapers Section is a fantastic resource for all tapers
new and old. There are forums for just about any question you
could have. There is a section for loaning/borrowing gear and the
Yard Sale section is a great place to get a deal on the gear you
want. The users are very helpful and kind.
The
Live Music Archive is a user supported archive of FREE live
concerts. There are tens of thousands of free downloadable shows
from hundreds of artists. Click HERE to see a list of the bands on the archive.
This is a bit torrent site for Etree. There are
hundreds of shows posted here by bands such as John Mayer, Dave
Matthews, Phish, Black Crowes, Coldplay and more. Bands that allow
taping but are not part of the archive can be found here.

Bootcity is another Bit Torrent site. Here you can
find a lot of hard to find shows from bands ranging from Jimi
Hendrix, Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd to Rush, U2 and Nine Inch
Nails.
Dime A Dozen is much like BootCity. It features shows from many genres as well as live DVD videos and out of print rarities. This is where I post my shows if they can't be posted on the Archive.

Wolfgang's Vault is a site that has hundred's of soundboard recordings from Bill Graham's personal collection. Amazing shows by The Clash, David Bowie and others can be found here. You cannot download them they are streaming only but it is worth a listen.
